Happy Chinese New Year or Gong Xi Fa Cai! As we embark upon the Lunar New Year for 2014, it’s time to slither away from the Year of the Water Snake and get ready for a brisk gallup through the Year of the Wood-Horse. (And hold on, because this year promises just that kind of excitement…)
What is the new symbol of the year Gong Xi Fa Cai?
The animals and elements assigned to each year give excellent hints as to what we can expect for the months to follow. In the case of 2014, this means an increase in standing firm and sticking to one’s principles. Other themes associated with the year ahead are progress, stability and prosperity.
Horses are known for their ability to run over long distances without easily tiring, making 2014 a great year for traveling to exotic places and for pursuing one’s biggest goals.
Could this be the year you pursue your dream of becoming a massage therapist? If so, East-West Healing Arts is offering a Chinese New Year enrollment special for new students applying from now until February 6th, 2014: Submit your application and receive a gift certificate for a one-hour acupuncture or massage appointment (up to $180 value.)
